The Jamaican motto “Out of many one people” is without a doubt the perfect description to summarise the wonderful history of Jamaica and its people. Amazingly, all journeying from all corners of the world have settled on this small island in the Caribbean Sea.

This is nothing less than a miraculous decree full of wisdom beyond human comprehension.

This is an encouraging sign that we should reflect on this mind-blowing phenomenon with an open mind.

A sign encouraging us to accept the reality that within such an intricate diverse mixture of people, many of whom are our ancestors and families, were Muslims worshipping One God.

Hence, it is high time we stop seeing Islam as something strange and not having anything to do with Jamaica.

As time passes by, more and more information is inculcating the realization that nearly everything learnt at schools, colleges, and universities regarding history is not all factual and is highly questionable.

The true history of what occurred before, during, and after the Transatlantic slave trade has been hidden or destroyed and rewritten by the European colonizers’ historians from a Eurocentric perspective.

But despite their attempts to distort, hide, and cover up the Islamic presence in Jamaica, the Caribbean, and the Americas, there is enough evidence for people of contemplation and insight, and who have a good sense of discernment in reading between the lines and scratching below the surface of the historical narratives, to know the truth.
